Ndumberi - 1

And it is here! Ndumberi, the very first Kenyan filter coffee of the season! An AA lot, apart from yes, yes, and more please, where do we even start with this wildly delicious cup? Located on the slopes of the Aberdare mountain ranges close to Nairobi, the Ndumberi factory serves the Ndumberi Farmers' Cooperative Society. It was formed in 1961 and registered on 30th September 1962 with the help of Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, the first prime minister of the Republic of Kenya. Since then, it has grown to 2600 members. With strict quality measures in place, the cooperative has a field committee responsible for farm visits, offering agronomic support and advice from following intercropping guidelines to weeding, pruning, spraying, fertiliser, mulching and helping farmers select seeds. Representing so much more than a delicious cup, Ndumberi is a must-taste!
